Welcome to FirstHealth’s COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Registration

Pfizer and Moderna boosters are available for individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech (COMIRNATY), Moderna or Johnson and Johnson (J&J, Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine. The following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and at two months or more after their initial J&J/Janssen dose:

  • 65 years or older,
  • Residents in long-term care,
  • 18 years or older with underlying medical conditions; or,
  • 18-64 years and work in high-risk settings like healthcare workers, teachers and childcare providers or food workers.

Additional Information, Immunocompromised patients:
Moderately to severely immunocompromised people are recommended to receive an additional dose of the same brand of vaccine, and in the same dose, at least 28 days after they’ve completed their initial two-dose series to help increase the body’s immune response. Because most patients meeting this qualification already received their third vaccine dose, FirstHealth is not scheduling additional clinics for immunocompromised patients at this time.

Additional Information, Johnson and Johnson (J&J, Janssen) vaccine recipients:
J&J/Janssen vaccine recipients are also qualified to receive a booster dose and are eligible to schedule the Moderna or Pfizer booster, based on the Centers for Disease Control’s “mix and match” recommendations. FirstHealth has not yet scheduled a booster clinic for a second dose of the J&J/Janssen vaccine specifically, due to the comparatively low number of patients receiving this vaccine at FirstHealth events. Please stay tuned for updates or consider making an appointment at another location to receive a second dose of the J&J/Janssen vaccine. Alternate locations may be found on the vaccines.gov webpage.
